He began his career as a student manager for the University of Kentucky men’s basketball program, where he was part of a championship-caliber culture and contributed to practice operations, player support, and team logistics. He later served as a coach at Tennessee Tech University, where he focused on on-court skill development, scouting, and helping student-athletes grow both technically and mentally within the game. With experience at both Power Five and Division I mid-major levels, Coach Alger specializes in professional player development, emphasizing skill efficiency, game IQ, and preparing athletes to perform at the next level.
