Coach Cartrell Best founded Best of the Best Outreach with a passion for developing the whole athlete—both on and off the court. His personal journey of overcoming cerebral palsy as a youth has shaped his coaching philosophy and deepened his commitment to helping young people navigate life's challenges with resilience and determination. Through his own experiences with sports and personal development, Coach Best recognized the transformative power of basketball in building character, confidence, and life skills. This understanding drives his holistic approach to youth development, weaving together athletic excellence with emotional wellness, academic achievement, and civic engagement. Hi, I’m McKenzi! I am a former collegiate basketball player with expeierence completing at both the Division I and graduate level. I played at Tulane University before continuing by athletic and academic career at Emory University. Basketball has been one of the most influential parts of my life. I am passionate about helping young athletes develop both on and off the court. Whether your athlete is just getting started or looking to take their game to the next level, my goal is to help!
