I’ve been boxing since I was 16 and competed in multiple tournaments . I was always active and used boxing as a competitive measurement as also as preparation to go professional. Circumstances changed that and I decided to direct my passion into training which I’ve done for 6+ years introducing training and technological equipment to enhance performance and skill.

I have trained at multiple boxing gyms in NYC over the past 4-5 years, and currently have a Jujitsu fight recorded of 1-7 as a white belt. I have also spent time training beginner skills to friends and willing participants over the past 2-3 years and I am currently training in Boxing Jiujitsu and Muay Thai.

With 52 amateur bouts under my belt, I transitioned into a successful coaching career, guiding numerous athletes to regional titles and even collaborating with World Champions along the way. My journey blends a rich history of personal achievement with a passion for cultivating champions in the world of sports.

Sherwood Kwame Reece, a.k.a. Q, stepped into the ring at Starrett City Boxing Club as a teen, having falling in love with exercise and learning from the late Jimmy O’Pharrow, and later former Olympian Reggie Ford to become a professional boxer. I taught at the Aerospace High Performance Center under legendary Michael Olajide Jr.   My specialities are holistic wellness, nutrition and injury prevention.
