I own a 500-square-foot Vertical Farm growing microgreens, herbs, and edible flowers that is called Grewsome Greens. Originally from New York, I’ve worked as an organic gardener, farmer, and plant specialist for stunning celebrity gardens in the Hamptons and the North Fork of Long Island. As a former FoodCorps (Montana) service member, I connected elementary age students to real food and the process of growing a garden. Specifically focusing on cooking with students, teaching and creating lessons on healthy food choices, facilitating farm-to-school connections and creating an overall schoolwide culture of health. Also secured grants, and coordinated community service days for the restoration of a park. All of this is done while emphasizing indigenous food practices and promoting food sovereignty on the Flathead Reservation.
