This is not to say that the short game is not important. You must be very good from 110 yards and in, no question about it. Gerry is an expert in coaching this element of the game. Excellent chipping, pitching and putting will lower your score quicker than anything. However, hitting the ball longer and straighter will not only improve your scoring considerably, but it will dramatically increase your overall enjoyment of the game. Gerry’s professional sports career began with a stint as a player with the Oklahoma Outlaws of the United States Football League. Following his professional football career Gerry embarked on a second professional sports career in weight-lifting / body-building, while working out with the likes of Arnold Schwartzeneger, Frank Zane and others. In 1990 Gerry’s achievements in this field were honored when he was named as both the heavyweight as well as overall California Body Building Champion.
