Louis Mitten is a Brooklyn-based classical guitarist and composer. Born in Tampa, Florida, Louis began playing guitar when he was eight, performing pop and rock songs around the local Tampa Bay area. Louis went to Blake High School to study classical guitar with John Parris performing solo and chamber recitals. He then went to Florida State University to complete his degree in guitar performance with Bruce Holzman and Celso Cano, teaching, performing and studying guitar pedagogy. Louis is now located in Brooklyn, performing and teaching throughout New York City and competing internationally in classical guitar competitions.

I was educated at Berklee College of Music and blend a thorough grounding in music theory and concepts with real-world experience playing in bands, as a front-person and as a supporting guitarist live and in the studio!
