Hi, I’m Coach Frida Monsalvo I’m a former Division 1 soccer player, All-American, and SCC Defensive Player of the Year with a degree in Kinesiology and a deep passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. I currently serve as the Head Girls’ Soccer Coach at Glen A. Wilson High School and as an Assistant Coach for the Mt. SAC Women’s Soccer Program. With years of experience as both a player and coach, I specialize in sports performance, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, and injury recovery—especially for athletes returning from ACL injuries. I’ve worked with athletes of all levels and ages, from youth players learning the basics to competitive athletes preparing for the next level. My goal is to create an environment where every athlete feels seen, supported, and challenged. I believe in combining science-based training with intentional coaching that builds discipline, confidence, and a strong mindset. I have been playing soccer for 18 years at the highest level of youth soccer in the United States. I have trained and gained experience from professional teams such as Orange County Soccer Club. I have learned from coaches from Rangers Fc (Scotland), UCLA, and much more.
With 18 years dedicated to learning and playing the beautiful game, I am now a retired professional and credited student-athlete. My background includes playing for the LA Galaxy Academy for 5+ years along with their professional team for one year. Additionally, I took my abilities into the college game where I played five seasons at UC Santa Barbara (4) and Gardner-Webb University (1), where I earned several accolades. I used these experiences to launch personal training sessions in Santa Barbara, North Carolina, and Long Beach. This allowed me to turn my passion into inspiring and teaching the next generation of athletes. I strive to improve players’ technical, tactical, mental, and physical abilities through sessions geared on individual strengths and weaknesses.
