With 18 years on the court, including as a D1 athlete, former professional player, I bring a wealth of knowledge to elevate your tennis game. My passion lies in fostering a love for the sport while refining technique and strategy. Let's unlock your full potential together! I work with all levels from beginners to advanced.

My playing style is unorthodox, but it works. I prioritize strength training, speed training, and explosiveness in order to be able to optimize my playing style on the court. Over the past ten years, my tennis journey has been a testament to perseverance and dedication. Starting in high school, I climbed from bottom of JV to become Varsity Captain, mastering both singles and doubles play. This passion eventually led me to Club Tennis at Penn State University, and pursue my passion of playing / teaching tennis.

Fueled by two decades on the court, I offer strategic tennis instruction honed from my collegiate playing days. My focus is on cultivating technique and fostering a deep love for the game. I am excited to share my expertise with aspiring players of all levels.

I began playing tennis before I could walk. By age 11 I competed year-round in the Texas Junior Circuit. From age 9 to 13 I was coached by the greats John Wilkerson and Edgar Arnold and was on track to begin competing nationally by age 14. I have competed in tennis, football, and baseball at the collegiate, and professional levels for the majority of my life.

Coach Adriana is a PTR certified instructor with the ability to help players of varying skills improve their technique, footwork, strategy, and mental game. She has been coaching tennis to juniors and adults since 2002. She is also the head coach at First Serve Tennis Academy. She values every opportunity to be a mentor and role model working to promote a positive, safe, and player-centered learning environment. As a tennis coach, I’ve been teaching at Kim Grant Tennis Academy in Palo Alto, California and volunteered for a day at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York. Coached at the Fairfax Racquet Club in Fairfax, Virginia & Tuckahoe Tennis Club in McLean, Virginia as an Assistant Head Tennis Coach. As a certified tennis coach, Adriana been teaching for the past 20 years helping juniors win Orange Ball tournaments and getting them accepted to play tennis on their high school varsity teams all over the entire DC metro area. Adriana is offering fun private, semi-private and group tennis lessons, hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

"Adriana eagerly took up a difficult task of teaching two 5-year olds the basics of tennis. She manages to keep them occupied and interested. We are yet to see the results as we started recently, but it is most important to me that the kids are motivated, disciplined in a good way and are learning basic skills. Ferdinand is a USTA and PTR licensed tennis coach with over three decades of experience as a classroom teacher. A former collegiate athlete in soccer and track & field, he brings a multifaceted approach to coaching. As a professional stringer and dedicated mentor, Ferdinand specializes in junior and adult development programs, focusing on skill-building and fostering a love for the game. With a rich background in education and athletics, Ferdinand is passionate about helping players of all ages achieve their full potential on the court.

With 17 years dedicated to tennis instruction, I bring collegiate-level insight to every lesson. My passion is helping players of all abilities unlock their full potential on the court. I blend expert technique with fun, engaging drills to foster rapid improvement.
