What should I bring to my lesson?

What you need to bring to your TeachMe.To lesson depends on your coach and the activity you’re learning. Each coach lists their requirements on their profile so you know exactly what to expect.

Here’s how to make sure you’re prepared:

Check Your Coach’s Profile for Required Gear

Every coach provides details about what Students should bring. Depending on the sport, this might include:

  • A tennis racquet or pickleball paddle
  • Golf clubs
  • Athletic shoes or court shoes
  • A yoga mat
  • Towels or hydration gear

Your booking confirmation may also include helpful notes about equipment and meeting locations.

Message Your Coach If You’re Not Sure

If something is unclear or you’re new to the sport, simply send your coach a message in the TeachMe.To app. Coaches are used to beginners and are happy to clarify anything: equipment, clothing, meeting spots, or expectations.

To message your coach:

  1. Open the app
  2. Go to Chat
  3. Select your booked coach

Many Coaches Can Provide Equipment

Don’t own gear yet? No problem.

Most coaches can supply basic equipment for your first few lessons, especially for:

  • Golf
  • Tennis
  • Pickleball

Just ask them ahead of time so they know what to bring.

General Things to Bring to Any Lesson

Even when equipment is provided, it’s a good idea to bring:

  • Water
  • Comfortable clothing suited to the activity
  • Athletic or activity-appropriate shoes
  • Sunscreen, if outdoors
  • A towel, if needed

Arriving with the basics helps your session run smoothly.
