I have been studying and playing music for over 35 years. As the owner and instructor of Amazing Mobile Music Instruction, I have developed a successful method for musical instruction. I have been examining theory for many years while learning how to play multiple instruments. Picking up everything I could from all the different musicians and produced music that I have encountered along the way. Because of this, I have an original approach to teaching, playing and writing music. When I started teaching music, I explored many different ways to find a more reasonable and simpler method for teaching how to play a variety of instruments. Ben’s Method is fun and very effective.

I was looking for a new piano teacher for my boys, ages 7 and 11. I found Amazing Mobile Music on Groupon so decided to give it a try. Ben was great during our first lesson, so we hired him to continue instruction for the boys. He emphasizes good technique from the beginning, and incorporates elements of theory every step of the way so his students have a deeper understanding of what they're doing. Placing focus from the beginning on correct technique and breaking of bad habits was very important to me, so when I saw how well he managed this, I was very impressed. He comes to our house, which is an important convenience for us as well. He has at least 15 years of teaching experience so he has honed his own method of teaching to improve and expedite the process to promote both classical training and ability for future improvisation skills. He also teaches a variety of other instruments including guitar, mandolin, drum, bass, and ukulele, so we might add another instrument in the future once the piano skills are more advanced!

Benjamin is a very knowledgeable musician and teacher who cares about his students. He employs a variety of teaching methods that best suits the needs of his students and while developing good habits. For example, how to read music and tab, how to properly hold a guitar, and how to play with a pick. He is very patient and recognizes that each student is unique and learns at their own pace. He is committed to his students and his love of music is infectious. I greatly appreciate the support and encouragement he has shown my Mother during her piano lessons at 90. Because of her Parkinson's, she has some physical and mental deficits that impede her progress, but for all that Benjamin joins in with a guitar accompaniment. In addition to studying music, he encourages my Mom's creativity in playing her own music.

We originally chose Ben because of the good reviews and also because he was willing to come to our house for lessons, which is a huge convenience factor for us. Since then, my daughter has been taking lessons with Ben for about a year. She is doing so great- and has learned so much. When our friends hear her play they cannot believe she's only been taking lessons for a year. He's always really positive and encouraging and adapts the lesson to her learning style and music interests. Very early on he also started teaching her to play Für Elise, though it was beyond a new player's skill level but it's such a recognizable song she was really encouraged she could play parts and it helped boost her confidence early on. I'd recommend Ben to someone looking to start to play; he's great.

Ben has been teaching guitar to my son for the past few months and I must say that, it has been great so far. Ben teaches various techniques which I see no other previous guitar instructor has stressed upon earlier and they are must for guitarist in order to develop good habits from the start. He makes sure in every class that my son is playing the guitar with correct form and technique. He's good with kids and makes sure they are comfortable and understanding the instructions. I always tell my son to learn as much as possible from Ben, he's a good teacher and willing to share his knowledge. Recently started piano classes as well for my daughter and so far going great. She's liking them. Definitely recommend if any one wants to learn music from Ben.
