Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn our first session, we’ll start with the basics: how to hold the paddle, understanding the court layout, and key rules like serving and scoring. I like to keep things simple and fun while building confidence through light drills that focus on paddle control and ball tracking. We’ll also play a few rally games to get moving and see what feels natural for you.
Lesson 11+Time to bring it all together! We’ll use real game play to sharpen your reflexes, test your decision-making, and apply everything we’ve practiced. I’ll also introduce more advanced techniques like spins, lobs, resets, and offensive/defensive zone play to elevate your game. You’ll finish each lesson feeling stronger, faster, and more in control on the court.
Lesson 4-10This is where things get exciting. We’ll dive deeper into strategy—working on shot placement, dinking, volleys, and transition zone awareness. Whether you’re playing singles or doubles, I’ll help you start reading the game and making smarter shot choices. We’ll also run through situational drills to boost your confidence under pressure.
Lesson 2-3Now that you’re comfortable with the basics, we’ll focus on consistency. We’ll drill forehand and backhand shots, work on serving with more accuracy, and begin learning court positioning. I’ll introduce you to a few footwork patterns and we’ll practice how to move efficiently and stay balanced during play. Expect lots of reps and encouragement!
