Hello, I'm Kathy! As a competitive pickleball player with a 4.46 rating, I've dedicated over three years to perfecting my game. My journey in sports education stretches over two decades, thanks to my background as a PE teacher. This unique blend of teaching and passion makes me the coach I am today. In our sessions together, I'll guide you through refining your swings, honing your hitting drills, getting that grip just right, and we'll even dink a little back and forth. To wrap things up, we'll dive into some quick drill games to make sure you leave the court feeling more confident than ever. Coach Kathy.. where do I start.. she’s absolutely amazing!! We had 10 lessons total, she’s not just you’re friendly neighbor Pickleball coach, she’ll coach you little bit about life too and that’s exactly what I needed. Her drills are challenging but I went into it with an open mind & her examples of what I was doing vs. how it should be was so helpful for me to understand where I was getting things wrong with my shots at the kitchen or at the back (singles or doubles) & I was able to quickly understand the differences of what a good/bad shot is. With her coaching, she taught me how to gain control of each shot which counts in Pickleball. She’s very patient with you & she will cater her lessons to where you can relate to it to breach the gaps e.g positioning, body weight shifts, all things that would make you a better player. If you truly can try & laugh off mistakes you’ll make within the drills which I had plenty with Coach Kathy, then you’ll be able to reap the benefits of her Pickleball wisdom.
