Everyone learns differently. I believe in creating a lesson plan that is unique to my students and how they learn. I believe in creating a safe atmosphere for my students to learn and grow. They will learn the technique of how to play their instrument, how to take care of it, and learn the songs and repertoire they enjoy and would like to learn.

I knew nothing about instruments or music prior to being a student of Alexia. She made understanding music, playing violin, and everything else that comes with being a beginner student very easy. She’s patient and has a great way of motivating me so that even if something feels hard, it’s still achievable and worth it. She makes learning fun and has actively played a role in cultivating my love and passion for music and the violin. Highly recommend.

Alexia is a very respectful and enthusiastic instructor that takes her time teaching her students. I for one was very fond of her way of teaching, such as allowing me to take time to learn the instrument. Never in my 25 years of living, have I sought out learning to play the violin. She made it easy as someone who started taking lessons in their 20s. Based on my experience as a student, I have no doubt that she will continue thriving as an educator of music.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will get to know each other. Then we will discuss what you would like to get out of our lessons and a basic lesson plan.
Lesson 11+We will be working on technique, basic songs, learning by ear, and sight reading music.
Lesson 4-10Based on the rate of growth, we will introduce new techniques.
Lesson 2-3A lesson plan will be set up based on the student. We will begin learning about the basics of the violin and how to take care of it.
