Travis is a dedicated PGA member and TPI Golf Level 3 certified instructor who found his passion for golf early and never looked back. With over 15 years of teaching experience and a lead instructor role at Big Canyon Country Club since 2015, Travis combines expertise with cutting-edge tools like high-speed video, Swing Catalyst, K-Motion technology, and launch monitors to analyze and enhance each athlete’s performance. His approach centers on biomechanics and the body-swing connection, focusing on rhythm, feel, and flow to help players fully enjoy the game. Outside of golf, Travis and his wife Erin, along with their three children, Courtlynn, Jordy, and Bodie, enjoy an active lifestyle filled with sports, the beach, mountains, and travel adventures from their home in Aliso Viejo.

I’ve been playing golf since I was 10 years old and competed in nationally ranked junior tournaments throughout my youth. I played high school golf and was recruited by the University of Oregon, where I earned a full ride scholarship to play on the women’s golf team. After college, I pursued a professional career on tour for a couple of years before transitioning to become a golf instructor. Now, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others improve their game!

With a lifelong commitment to the game of golf, I have established a distinguished record across all levels of competition, beginning with a junior golf career highlighted by dozens of tournament victories and notable performances in premier events such as the US Junior Amateur, Junior World Championships, and the California Cup Team. During high school, I was a vital member of a CIF championship-winning team, demonstrating my dedication to excellence. Advancing to collegiate golf at Washington State University, I achieved two individual tournament wins and contributed to eight team victories, with my tenure marked by representing the university at the NCAA Championship and securing a national ranking of 15th, reflecting both my skill and perseverance. As an amateur golfer, I have competed in numerous major amateur golf championships, always seeking to challenge myself and refine my abilities. Currently, I have reentered the golf industry as a PGA Associate Qualifier and am working toward completion of my TPI Level 1 certification. Golf is more than a sport to me—it is a lifelong pursuit, and I am dedicated to supporting golfers of all ages and skill levels in reaching their goals, enjoying the sport, and maximizing their potential.
