Bio: Coach Carl Poe's athletic journey began with a passion for multiple sports, which he pursued from youth through high school. His dedication led him to earn a scholarship to play collegiate baseball at UNC-Pembroke. However, during his senior year, an unfortunate hand injury ended his playing career. Determined to continue his path in sports, Carl shifted focus to academics, earning a degree in Physical Education and Coaching before advancing to graduate school at Appalachian State, where he earned a Master's in Exercise Science with a focus on Sports Strength and Conditioning. This transition from competitive baseball to strength and conditioning allowed Carl to dedicate his career to training athletes. With over 20 years of experience, including time at the US Olympic Training Center, Carl has built a legacy of helping athletes achieve their peak performance to compete at the highest level possible .
