As a former college-level player on a golf scholarship, and with a current handicap of 1.2, I understand the demands and rewards of competitive play. I work with golfers of all skill levels, focusing on etiquette and rules to ensure players understand the foundational aspects of golf, building a strong base for a solid game, perfecting technique to improve performance, emphasizing critical skills for on-course success in short games and putting, and sharing extensive knowledge of 18-hole play strategies. My teaching approach is rooted in making the game enjoyable while driving improvement. I managed the girls' varsity tennis team for two years in high school, preparing them for matches and major competitions alongside the head coach. As a player, I competed in intense district and state-level matches on the boys' varsity team. My journey with tennis began in childhood, playing with my grandmother, which sparked my passion and led me to join high school and college teams. Since then, I've maintained a regular schedule of playing several times a week. I've also enjoyed teaching numerous beginners, adept at starting players from scratch and guiding them through their tennis journey.
