My mission is to guide each of them toward discovering that voice through inspiration, respect, and structured artistic growth. Throughout my professional journey—as a soloist, concertmaster, and mentor—I have learned that technical mastery and emotional expression must develop together. In my classroom, I emphasize the balance between precision and passion: scales and etudes coexist with expressive phrasing, listening, and ensemble collaboration. I encourage students to set high standards, yet to approach challenges with curiosity and patience. Mistakes are treated not as failures but as opportunities to refine understanding and resilience.

I was a long a triple jump state champion and jumped at Nebraska for 1 year. I am open to working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. With nearly 35 years of experience as a guitarist, I have performed extensively across the United States and internationally, delivering concerts, lectures, and masterclasses to diverse audiences. Deeply inspired by legendary artists Paco de Lucía and Tommy Emmanuel, my musical style reflects a rich fusion of technical precision and expressive artistry. I am passionate about teaching guitar to students of all ages, levels, and musical interests. My goal is to create a positive, inspiring, and engaging learning environment where each student can develop a deep appreciation for music while progressing at their own pace. I believe that the journey of learning music should be as enjoyable as the destination. I currently serve as a guitar professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University and Union Adventist University. I am also honored to be a Music Art Ambassador for the Nebraska Arts Council, a guest teaching artist for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and a Teaching Artist in Residence at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. In recognition of my contributions to the music community, I was proud to receive the 2023 Major Choice Award for Best Musician in Lincoln. Sharing my knowledge and experience is one of my greatest joys. I am dedicated to nurturing the unique musical voice of each student and supporting their artistic growth every step of the way.

Alexa Tirado is a dedicated volleyball coach based in Irving, with a passion for working with beginners and sharing her knowledge of the sport. With 5 years of playing experience under her belt, Alexa may be young, but her expertise in volleyball shines through in her coaching style. She has a proven track record of coaching middle school teams, focusing on nurturing the skills of novice players and helping them grow in the sport.

With over 14 years on the field, I’m dedicated to fostering soccer skills and igniting a passion for the game. My coaching blends strategic training with an enthusiastic approach.
