Over the years I have dedicated tens of thousands of hours to the practice and implementation of the mechanics in the golf swing. This has granted me unique insights into the mental and technical aspects of playing well. I encourage a mindset of commitment and continuous improvement for myself and my students alike, regardless of one’s skill level.

Greetings! I'm a dedicated golfer with 25 years of experience on the green, and a 7 handicap. Even now, I continue to play in City Championships and Amateur golf tournaments, keeping my competitive spirit alive and well. I'm a passionate athlete and coach with a diverse background in multiple sports. I've taught tennis and snowboarding, and I'm a 10-time champion on the MGA tour (Mediocre Golf Association!). I’ve been a member of the PGA since 2004. I was the head teaching pro at El Dorado Park in Long Beach for 13 years before moving over to Recreation Park 18. I created the first ever teaching & coaching completion within the PGA of America called America’s Golf Coach. I also created and run a non profit in Long Beach called Tee Off Together. "Rian was awesome!! I told him specifically what I wanted to work on and understand how to fix it while on the course. We got straight to it, within 5 minutes he was able to identify some of my gaps with my swing and pinpoint how to fix it. He was very straight forward with clear instructions, easy to understand. He recorded my swings and showed me the wrongs, rights and progression throughout my sessions. Hitting off grass was also a plus, great vibe, great conversations, he knows his stuff. Great instructions for an affordable price, I highly recommend him!!

I’m Alex Sapalicio, with over 20 years of golf experience and more than a decade of coaching under my belt. I hold the course record of 57 at my home course, Alhambra Golf Course, and have competed in multiple PGA pre-qualifying events.
