I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. Currently, I weave melodic tales as the guitarist for La Pompe Dallas (Gypsy Jazz), the upright bassist for Justin Pickard and the Thunderbird Winos (Best Americana Dallas 2023) and The Vinyl Stripes (Rockabilly & Surf). My musical journey spans classic rock, blues, bluegrass, country, swing, gypsy jazz, rockabilly, and more. Jazz Pianist Bernard Wright mentored me as a bassist in his Jazz trio for several years. I explored diverse instruments like piano, clarinet, mandolin, dobro, oud, and African percussion. Songwriting is a forte, having been a finalist in Dallas contests. In addition to music, I once designed Media Matrix audio gear for Peavey Electronics but chose the path of playing and teaching music over-engineering.
