Hi, my name is Mahlon and I’m addicted to pickleball! I grew up playing racquet sports like racquetball and ping pong and I’m a former college football player. I’ve been playing pickleball for over a year now and I’ve competed in 9 tournaments so far, with several gold and silvers medals to my credit. I have a patient teaching style, centered on sound fundamentals, and shot mechanics. I can help you avoid the mistakes many beginners make, and have you on the medal podium before know it!

Around five years back, I fell head over heels for this addictive sport after years of USTA tennis. Recognizing the nuanced finesse required in pickleball, I pursued proper training, eager to bridge the gap for players transitioning from other sports. As a senior player, I've found pickleball to offer an incredible workout with less strain on the body. That's why I became a certified coach through the Professional Pickleball Registry, dedicated to teaching the game cohesively and joyfully. Jane is a Los Angeles-based pickleball coach, player and community builder who believes pickleball should be equal parts getting better and having fun. After playing in 30+ tournaments and earning 15+ medals, she now focuses on helping players build confidence, improve their game, and find a place on the court. Jane specializes in beginner and intermediate players with an emphasis on approachable instruction, lots of reps, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable jumping.

I started coaching officially in February 2025 for a small group, consistently weekly. I love helping students and athletes learning the game to improve, have fun, and gain fitness with pickleball. Previously, I had been a trainer for various sports and activities such as soccer, basketball, weightlifting, and martial arts.
