As a former professional Tennis coach in Australia, I've become widely recognized as one of the best tennis coaches around the country. I've also played at the highest level and am a Pan Pacific and Australian Masters champion in both singles and doubles and a recent winner of the Oregon senior games. Now residing in L.A. I bring a wealth of expertise tailored for everyone - from absolute beginners to seasoned pros. I'm a Certified PTR Professional Coach and very passionate about this amazing game. I'm here to refine your skills and boost your enjoyment and love for the game. I am President of the newly formed World Tennis Association LLC and the founder of Modified Tennis to keep less mobile players in the game longer. With over 30 years of tennis experience as a former college player and coach since 2007 I bring expertise in developing your technical skills, mentality, and fitness. One of my strengths is incorporating comprehensive and scientific-based nutrition advice to optimize your performance on court. U.J. has the passion as a player and coach to provide his clients with high quality tennis programming and instruction. His coaching philosophy is first and foremost to engage his clients and make sure they are having fun while learning tennis skills for a purpose. He also enjoys coaching players to gain the ability to execute drills, tactics and strategy learned in lessons successfully through to a competition setting.

I was a four-year varsity player at Oberlin College and currently work in economic consulting. I am also currently building a post-match feedback platform for competitive players (we are currently demoing the product for a select group of players). Outside of tennis, I completed a 2,800 mile walk across America a few years ago and recently completed an Ironman. I value discipline, consistency, and long-term development, and I enjoy working with players who want to improve and are willing to put in the work.
