I actually didn't like tennis much when I first started at 8 years old - I'd swing, look around for the ball and find it stuck in the throat of my racquet. Having the right coach and mentor a few years later changed how I saw the game, and eventually how I saw myself. Though injuries and finances ultimately cut my junior career short, I continued to work on my skills and fitness, and found coaching as a way to share my passion with others who feel the same way. See you on the court!

I am the current Head Tennis Professional at Bayclub Santa Clara as well as the owner of Momentum Tennis in Cupertino. I am also the varsity coach at Lynbrook High school. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I've developed hundreds of youth and adults. My coaching is versatile and focused on excellent communication to ensure deep technique understanding and application.
"I've had many coaches, but Artur is a level above. What sets him apart from the others is his ability to communicate small changes to achieve big improvements. He has helped me overcome many bad habits, using simple techniques which I can use during practices and matches.

Observation ๐ฌsession were I will determine level of technique and tactic. In this session goal setting is very relevant because I want to make sure every minute spent on the court is intentional. We will create an outline for development in the next couple of weeks.

To prepare for your tennis lesson, ensure you are well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day and eat a light meal or snack about an hour before. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and proper tennis shoes, and check that your racket is in good condition. Pack essentials such as a water bottle, towel, and any personal items like a hat or sunscreen. Do some light stretching or a brisk walk to start warming up your muscles before arriving at the court. Something else I like to suggest is to mentally review any notes from previous lessons and set specific goals for the session to maximize your training.

Lessons are adapted when working with kids for a stress free and supportive environment while also making the game very enjoyable for them to learn. I strongly believe to teach a student effectively, they will have to learn to love the sport. We will create that environment while also building a very strong foundation for the kids to grow upon and build basic/advanced tennis concepts into their game.

The lessons with kids depends on their age group. A lesson with a child 5-8 will likely be fun ๐ and focused on developing general athletic activities: hand-eye coordination ๐๐ฝbalance โ๏ธ, and movement ๐๏ธIn later stages 8-12 we will focus on some general development with a focus on playing games similar to an actual tennis play or matchโ๏ธ.These lessons can vary based on the focus, intensity, and discipline of the child.

Typically we start by focusing on the basics of topspin and build consistency in groundstrokes - forehands and backhands. Subsequently we explore the various footwork patterns, volleys, overheads and serve mechanics.
