Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, he was head coach of Worcester Academy’s varsity tennis team, and worked as an assistant pro at Westboro Tennis and Swim Club in Westboro, MA. He also spent 2 years as Worcester Academy’s middle school coach, and one year as coach of the JV team at St. Marks School in Southborough, MA. In Stamford, he worked with adult USTA teams from 2.5 - 5.0. Alex played college tennis at Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT) where he was team captain and named all conference 3 consecutive years. There he consistently finished in the top 3 of the NEC conference (Division 1). In addition, he has played guitar in a punk-rock band and toured the country and Europe.
