The best way to comb through stroke mechanics is video. I would film all strokes/footwork patterns, and physicality. Review/analyze, then form a plan around my findings while also asking the player what they feel they are struggling with the most

Brief overview/approach to players 12 and under: The playing area and equipment would be modified to suite age range/ability. For example, a typical 6-8 yr old with little to no experience with sports in general I would begin with these 3 modifications: 1) employ a smaller court size at 18' × 36' in. conjunction with a portable net 2) low compression ball 3) find appropriate racquet size if applicable Keep tasks simple and progress from there For kids ages 8-10 I tend to adopt a 60' court For kids 11+ are most likely using full size court with either a regular ball or something slightly less compressed.
