Refunds and lesson expiry

The short version
Aside from our cancellation policy and our first-lesson risk-free guarantee, prepaid lessons are non-refundable and expire one year from the date of purchase.
Two ways to get a refund
TeachMe.To has two refund paths. Each one has a 24-hour window. The windows start at different times.

Cancellation policy
You can cancel your booking and get a full refund within 24 hours of making the booking. This applies only when your lesson is not scheduled within the next 24 hours.
First-lesson risk-free guarantee
After your first lesson, contact support within 24 hours if the lesson was not a good fit. We match you with a different coach, or we give you a refund.
Everything else is non-refundable
Outside these two paths, prepaid lessons are non-refundable. You cannot exchange them for cash.
Prepaid lessons expire after 12 months
Prepaid lessons are lessons you paid for and have not taken yet. This includes single lessons and lesson packs.
- Prepaid lessons are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
- Unused prepaid lessons expire at the end of those 12 months.
- If you buy lessons with a gift card balance, the purchase date is the day you use that balance.
- If your lessons were transferred, the purchase date is the day the transfer was completed.
Gift card balances never expire
A gift card balance never expires. This includes a gift card issued as a refund. When you use a balance to buy lessons, those lessons are prepaid lessons. They expire 12 months from the date of that purchase.
Transferring prepaid lessons
You can transfer unused prepaid lessons to another coach, skill, or person before they expire.
- Transferred lessons are valid for 12 months from the date the transfer is completed. Each transfer starts a new 12 months.
- The original 12 months keep running until the transfer is completed. Lessons that expire before then cannot be transferred.
- To give your lessons to a friend or family member, the recipient needs a TeachMe.To account. To start the transfer, contact support with the recipient's email address.
- You cannot resell transferred lessons.
- TeachMe.To can decline or reverse a transfer that is made to get around our Terms, or that is done through fraud or without permission.
