My pickleball journey started in 2010 at a Maine camping resort, Point Sebago. As a seasonal camper for 10 years, I played and became a pickleball ambassador, teaching fellow campers the basics. My passion for PB grew, earning my instructor certification in 2020. Now, I am able to share my love for the game teaching for local town Rec Depts, private lessons, corporate and groups. I play 3-4 x week ok with friends and in tournaments. Join me on the court, where the joy of pickleball becomes a shared experience of learning and laughter.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBefore I offer instruction I observe and discuss shoes, grip, stance, form, serve, ret of serve and footwork. Then we work on skills to improve what they want to improve. I explain and demonstrate strategies to win more points.
Lesson 11+We play drill games to quantify consistency and use the skills you’ve learned. Optional video recording of your play.
Lesson 4-10We learn and practice 3rd shot drops, Topspin and backspin. Different serves. Strategy and defensive skills.
Lesson 2-3We practice all shots , forehand , backhand overhead,, drives, blocks and drops. We drill to focus on specific skills they want to improve. We cover scoring .
What you need to bringI have paddles for you to borrow or you can Bring your favorite paddle and water. I have plenty of balls.
Wear court shoes if possible and comfortable athletic clothing.
