When you start playing competitivley you find that simply participating is not enough; one must strive to master the fundamentals and execute them correctly to fully appreciate and excel at the game of golf & life. Over the years I have dedicated tens of thousands of hours to the practice and implementation of the mechanics in the golf swing. This has granted me unique insights into the mental and technical aspects of playing well. I encourage a mindset of commitment and continuous improvement for myself and my students alike, regardless of one’s skill level.

Greetings! I'm a dedicated golfer with 25 years of experience on the green, and a 7 handicap. Even now, I continue to play in City Championships and Amateur golf tournaments, keeping my competitive spirit alive and well. But the real joy for me comes from sharing my experience and expertise with others. With over 30 years of golf experience and 15 years dedicated to teaching, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to the game. As a former college-level player on a golf scholarship, and with a current handicap of 1.2, I understand the demands and rewards of competitive play. I'm a passionate athlete and coach with a diverse background in multiple sports. I've taught tennis and snowboarding, and I'm a 10-time champion on the MGA tour (Mediocre Golf Association!). My journey in golf began at age five, competing in tournaments by age nine. I proudly represented Davis Senior High School's Varsity golf team for all four years. Although I didn't make the cut for the University of Oregon's D1 golf team, my passion for the sport remained undiminished. During high school, I shared my love for golf by coaching kids at the Golf and Splash summer camp in Davis. Now, I'm committed to regular practice, striving to lower my index back to scratch.

I’m Alex Sapalicio, with over 20 years of golf experience and more than a decade of coaching under my belt. I hold the course record of 57 at my home course, Alhambra Golf Course, and have competed in multiple PGA pre-qualifying events. My true passion lies in the game itself and in helping others discover and nurture their own love for golf.
