I’m a 3-handicap golfer with experience playing high school golf, working junior golf camps, and helping golfers break into the 80s. While I’m new to organized coaching, I enjoy helping everyday golfers improve and have more fun on the course. I offer both range lessons and on-course coaching, focusing on course management, smart decisions, the mental game, and practical swing improvements to help you lower your scores and play with confidence.

I began playing golf after working at a summer camp in the late 90’s. I signed up to coach basketball, but the Bulls were in the Finals again, so by the time I got to camp, the only sport left to coach was golf, and I had zero playing or coaching experience in that sport. I had been an athlete all my life and a coach for almost a decade by that point, so I figured, “How hard can it be?” I found out quickly it was very hard, but also challenging in a way that kept me completely compelled to learn. I spent that summer learning the game from 10 year olds. I vividly remember my mind being blown at the concept of hitting down, to make the ball go up. Fascinating! I got hooked, came home after camp, jumped into any and everything golf. I got pretty good quickly, played all over the place, signed up to attend a golf instructor school in 2002 and the rest is history. I’ve given thousands of lessons coast to coast, including Maui, Scottsdale, NYC, San Diego and even Tijuana. I have a deep knowledge of the game and swing mechanics, combined with a sincere passion to help anyone of any ability learn the game I have come to love so much. In keeping with the philosophy of Bobby Jones, the first person to capture all of golf’s major championships as an amateur, I believe that dedication and proper technique are essential for success in any endeavor. When you start playing competitivley you find that simply participating is not enough; one must strive to master the fundamentals and execute them correctly to fully appreciate and excel at the game of golf & life. Over the years I have dedicated tens of thousands of hours to the practice and implementation of the mechanics in the golf swing. My journey in golf began at age five, competing in tournaments by age nine. I proudly represented Davis Senior High School's Varsity golf team for all four years. Although I didn't make the cut for the University of Oregon's D1 golf team, my passion for the sport remained undiminished. During high school, I shared my love for golf by coaching kids at the Golf and Splash summer camp in Davis. Now, I'm committed to regular practice, striving to lower my index back to scratch.

I've been golfing since the age of 12. I’ve faced many challenges in this sport and grown to overcome them. Following my college years, I worked at Maderas Golf while pursuing my studies in hygiene school. My passion for the game grew as I played at the Maderas and I’ve been fortunate to frequently practice using a full swing simulator. My goal is to continue to improve throughout my life.
