My coaching style is energetic, encouraging, and rooted in creating a positive learning environment where everyone feels welcome. I’m also a cyclist and really just enjoy being outdoors. My work experience includes nutrition coaching which I plan to incorporate with each lesson. I value the importance of safety first - I have a certification in adult and child CPR/First Aid. Let's have fun and learn the sport of pickleball!

I'm a Pickleball expert with a solid foundation in tennis, encompassing strategy, playing skills, and unbridled enthusiasm for both sports. Let's ace the court with a fusion of skills and a love for the game!
"Tanav helped me transition from a tennis player into a pickleball player. He’s super supportive, super humble, and super skilled at introducing new skills. He was very observant and instructed me on what adjustments I needed to make. He’s very adapt and encouraging, and I improved a lot even after a single lesson. At first I couldn’t even hit the ball on my forehand side, and now it’s my killer shot. I have complete confidence stepping onto the pickleball court. I’m very grateful.

We will work on 3rd shot drops and drives, with games such as tug of war, 7-11, skinny singles.

Our first lesson together will begin with a discussion of specific areas of your game that you’d like to improve or are struggling to develop. Some common areas students want to improve in are their third shot drops, transition zone shots, and dinks. We’ll play a couple of points to view the weak points in context and then we’ll implement drills to improve the needed areas for development, as well as identify the root causes for the errors.

When taking a lesson with me, I recommend bringing the following: ✅ Tennis shoes ✅ Water bottle ✅ Sunscreen ✅ Sunglasses/eye protection ✅ Comfortable athletic clothing ✅ If you have a pickleball paddle you like to play with, please bring it! Otherwise, I can provide my own.

Please come in attire suitable for sports that you’re okay with sweating in! For example: tennis shoes, pickleball, basketball shoes or any athletic shoes designed to support lateral movement and with grip for court play! If it is cold, bundle up! Bring a light athletic winter hat, layers of light jackets, athletic pants and sports gloves that maintain your dexterity and motor skills while keeping you warm. If it is warm out, make sure you bring sunscreen, sunglasses and clothes that will keep you cool. If you have your own paddle, bring it! If you don’t I can give you a paddle to borrow from a variety of options and perhaps even give you the opportunity to purchase a paddle!

We will use foam balls for some of the exercises. We will choose locations that contain the balls more. We will work at a slower pace depending on the pace of the child(ren).
Coach Nick

For kids, I’ll keep the lessons high-energy, fun, and sneaky productive. I’ll offer softer balls as an option while keeping it intense and fun! Most of the drills will feel like games — like “King of the Court” to work on rallying, “Beat the Coach” to practice consistency, and “Serve & Score” where they try to earn points by hitting targets. I’ll always demonstrate first so they can see the right form before trying, breaking everything down into simple steps. I’ll keep the pace quick to hold their attention, giving constant positive reinforcement — hyping up every effort with things like “Love that hustle!” or “You’re getting better every shot!” Even when they’re working on footwork, grips, and swing mechanics, they’ll feel like they’re just playing — building muscle memory, discipline, and confidence without even realizing it.
