Edward Gasca Buelvas is a dedicated sports player with a passion for volleyball and tennis. With 14 years of experience in volleyball and over two decades dedicated to tennis, he has achieved a commendable 3.5 level in the sport. Edward's coaching style focuses on prioritizing mental preparation over technical and physical aspects, ensuring a well-rounded approach to skill development.
"Edward's lesson really stood out because of his patience and attention to detail, which I appreciated quite a bit. He consistently gives feedback after each movement, though I still hope I can rally more consistently in future lessons. Still, the focus on specific techniques helped me understand my game better, and Iβd be interested in seeing how my skills develop with more practice.

Hey fellow tennis enthusiasts! I started my journey with a wooden racquet from a garage sale, facing giggles and doubts at age 8. But I learned that tennis is for everyone - no matter your age, skill, or gear. Years have flown by, and now I'm the proud founder of Astoria Tennis, NYC's largest public tennis community. I believe in creating an inclusive space where we all can learn, play, and revel in the joy of tennis. Let's embrace the game together, and remember, it's never about the racquet, but the heart that wields it!
"Danny is a great coach. Highly recommended!

I started swinging a tennis racquet at the age of 13 hitting a wall and getting fascinated while watching the major tournaments on TV with my dad and instantly falling in love with the sport! Fast forward, had the opportunity to play college level for NCAA II Division and the honor of serving as the team captain. Today, my love for the sport still grows as I play on a regular basis, participating in local tournaments and events, as I'm equally excited of sharing this fondness to other enthusiast people out there. Iβm very eager to share the core techniques and personal strategies I've honed over the years to get you hitting like youβve never hit before! Let's tailor your tennis journey to bring out your best game and form!!

From my early experience in the sport of Tennis I have learned that teaching must be promoted from discipline and the joy of competing. I started playing since a was very young until l became a player with international projection, managing to be ranked 180 ITF juniors, participate in Olympic and Central American cycles, especially in the world-famous Davis Cup, adding some professional ITF tournaments alongside, where the best athletes in this sport are measured. Simultaneously, I reached a Major in THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO and played for the team, from there I have been able to experience the teaching of tennis, now I aspire to put all my experience, knowledge and preparation at the service of the community and young people who find in sports and tennis a healthy and productive lifestyle. I have a very high level of commitment on the court, especially with early stages of learning tennis, I promote discipline as a key tool in learning. I really like to work on the mechanics of the forehand, backhand, key tool in learning. I really like to work on the mechanics of the forehand, backhand, volley, serve, slice, footwork, and the shape of the ball. I have been worked with adults & juniors of all levels.
"Iβve known Rafael since I was little, we are both from Venezuela and same age. I witnessed him starting his whole process as a tennis player even before he jumped into international tournaments, I am very lucky to be his first lesson ever. Somehow it was funny since he was coaching me with 15 years old, back then, I knew that being on the court with him will give me a good energy and vibe, he taught me what to do before matches and after matches, taught me different routines during the matches and some technical stuff. I truly recommend Rafael, no because heβs a good friend of mine, because of his dedication and love for the game.

I proudly played Division 3 tennis for four impactful years at Hobart and William Smith, where I consistently competed at the number one position. Achieving a career-best UTR of 10.7, I also earned a top 25 ranking in the competitive Northeast region. Transitioning into coaching, I've been privileged to share my expertise at esteemed clubs like Hastings Tennis Club and Riverside Tennis Clay Association, fostering a love for the sport while continuing to grow as both a player and mentor.
"After just five lessons, my game leveled up big time! He makes it fun and super easy to get the hang of. Tennis is getting hella fun! πΎπ₯
