I played division 1 tennis for University of Hartford. Since than I take pride in being one of the busiest USTA Eastern tournament Men’s player. I’ve achieved numerous age division #1 rankings in the East as well as national rankings. I like to share some of my experience to my students. I’ve been a certified member of the USTA for about 30 years as well as over 30 years experience as a full time tennis instructor
"The attention I received during the lesson was quite focused, which helped me see where I could improve. Though I still have some areas to work on, I appreciate the steady approach Jonathan maintains and his balanced feedback. Looks like continual improvement is the goal, and I’m hopeful about making progress with his guidance. If you're interested in a lesson that’s genuinely attentive, you might want to give Jonathan a try.

Hey fellow tennis enthusiasts! I started my journey with a wooden racquet from a garage sale, facing giggles and doubts at age 8. But I learned that tennis is for everyone - no matter your age, skill, or gear. Years have flown by, and now I'm the proud founder of Astoria Tennis, NYC's largest public tennis community. I believe in creating an inclusive space where we all can learn, play, and revel in the joy of tennis. Let's embrace the game together, and remember, it's never about the racquet, but the heart that wields it!

"Raymond's lesson was quite helpful, especially as he focused on my serve and footwork, which I hadn't nailed before. Though I think a few more sessions will really boost my confidence. Still, I appreciate the practical tips and look forward to continuing to improve with his guidance.

"I found the lesson with Gianoscar quite useful, especially the way they explained some tennis techniques in a clear, straightforward manner. Still, there's always a bit to refine, but the overall experience was quite encouraging and worth considering for anyone looking to improve their game.

"The lesson definitely helped me see some subtle improvements, especially around my volley placement, which I still need to refine. Basem's tips on positioning are quite helpful though, and I appreciated his calm approach. Still, I think I could benefit from more focused drills to really lock in those changes. If you're looking for a steady, practical coach, Basem might be worth trying out.

I started swinging a tennis racquet at the age of 13 hitting a wall and getting fascinated while watching the major tournaments on TV with my dad and instantly falling in love with the sport! Fast forward, had the opportunity to play college level for NCAA II Division and the honor of serving as the team captain. Today, my love for the sport still grows as I play on a regular basis, participating in local tournaments and events, as I'm equally excited of sharing this fondness to other enthusiast people out there. I’m very eager to share the core techniques and personal strategies I've honed over the years to get you hitting like you’ve never hit before! Let's tailor your tennis journey to bring out your best game and form!!

"Holding my ground

With over 20 years of coaching experience and as a former D1 athlete, I offer a wealth of knowledge to help players of all levels elevate their tennis game. My focus is on developing sound fundamentals and tactical awareness while keeping our time on the court fun and engaging. I like to focus on footwork and small details, building a player from the footwork up. I also like to focus on what I call "small victories" and SMART goals to show progress.

I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. At Sacred Heart, I was named captain my senior season and received the student-athlete award for the highest GPA on the team after my first semester. In addition to my playing experience, I have many years of coaching experience. I am a current RSPA Elite Professional, and have organized and run my own private lessons and programs. I have also coached at various country and athletic clubs in Northern NJ and New York, along with having been an assistant men’s coach at Army West Point. I am sometimes available at the Jersey Shore in the summer as well.
