I compete in national tournaments, including as a member of the STL Shock Minor League Pickleball team, and I’m proud to be a Selkirk-sponsored athlete. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe touch on all the foundational skills needed to play pickleball during this lesson. We’ll go through serves, ground shots, and volleys. I’ll also explain the basic rules and scoring if necessary.
Lesson 11+By this point we are to fine tuning you overall game as needed. Adding in little things here and there to grow your pickleball repertoire. We will also work in more advanced drills and guided gameplay to prepare you for more competitive play.
Lesson 4-10This is where we begin to introduce more advanced shots like drop shots and effective dinking. We’ll start going through live game play scenarios and drills to get a feel of in game strategies and positioning.
Lesson 2-3We will continue to build on the foundation you already have reinforcing good technique and sound fundamentals. The main focus will be executing shots with consistency, like serves, forehand and backhand drives and volleys, as well as basic court positioning.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAdvanced lessons are totally dependent on the person and can be flexible. We look address areas of weakness while continuing to build on your strengths. This can cover shot technique, position, gameplay strategy, etc.
What you need to bringAthletic attire and the excitement to play pickleball!
What I can bringI provide all necessary equipment including paddles. You are welcome to bring your own paddle if you already have one.
