Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy goal for your first lesson is to meet your where youre at and get you hitting some balls. I try to keep it light and simple. I'll give you tips to be able to make contact with the ball, place the ball with better accuracy, and how to move correctly so you can get out and practice on your own safely and as soon as possible.
Lesson 11+We will learn how to become a competitive player. If you are interested in tournament/league play, strategy is very important and one of my favorite things to teach. However, if you wish to just improve your game, tennis is very technical and we can always work to improve your strokes. Or a combo of both :)
Lesson 4-10We can incorporate drills where I feed you balls. This is where it gets fun! We can work on movement, technique and accuracy depending on what needs the most improvement.
Lesson 2-3As we progress, we will work on technique. We will start by learning the correct grip, distance between you and the ball, and continue to focus on making good racket/ball contact.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe will establish what youd like to get out of the lesson. Do you want to work on match strategy? Technical improvement? Court fitness? From here I'll develop a training plan for you.
Lesson 11+At this point, it would be mostly match strategy. I suspect a player at this level is playing competitively. Ideally I would to set you up with a hitting partner and work with you point by point so you can win more matches!
Lesson 4-10We can play games or matches at this point in you would like.
Lesson 2-3Depending on the goals we've established, we will continue to work in person and I will give you some things to work on in your own time

Youth players
Working with kidsJust keep it fun and fast paced. I limit my lessons to 1 hr with kids under 10. I prefer working with a goal in mind of tournament/high school/college tennis in the future. However, theres a first time for everything! Im happy to introduce your child to the wonderful (and low injury) sport of tennis!

Working with teenagersI am willing to coach intermediate to advanced level teenagers looking to play competitively at a high level.

What you need to bringTennis shoes, athletic clothing, your own water and sunscreen if youd like, and balls or rackets you would like to use. Pro-tip: if youre just starting out and looking for a racket, go to a tennis pro shop and ask for a few demo rackets. I can help you narrow down one that fits you during our lesson

What I can bringBasket of tennis balls, 2-3 rackets and waters.
